The Glen Innes & District Community Centre Inc. provides a number of services, facilities and a venue for visiting and community organisations outlined as follows:
Community Information
If you require a service and don't know who or how to contact them, call in or phone and we may be able to link you up with the appropriate services and/or agencies.
Crisis Welfare Assistance
Interviews are held three days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Friday 11:00am to 12:00noon) for crisis welfare assistance. Two forms of identification are normally required. This is a confidential service.
Facilities
The Community Centre has a comfortable reception area and you are welcome to take time out for a cup of tea or coffee and a rest or chat.
Hire
The Community Centre offers an office and hall for short term hire. The Hall can accommodate up to 100 people and can be used for a variety of groups and/or functions. Also for hire are trestle tables and chairs at very reasonable rates.
Nursing Mothers
We are a 'Mum and Bub' friendly Centre and provide a change table and a nappy disposal unit. We also provide a microwave for heating bottles and food, and a place for Mum and Bub to feed and rest in comfort.
Training & Meetings
The Community Centre can accommodate your training and meeting requirements and can offer materials such as a whiteboard, overhead projector, TV, DVD/VCR, Urn, tea and coffee facilities, rear parking and disabled access.
Toilets
Female and Male toilets and a Disabled Toilet are available. Adults must supervise children at all times.
Do You Need Assistance?
Our volunteer staff are trained to assist you. If you would like to speak to the Coordinator, you can call in, phone or make an appointment. This service is free and confidential.
